Goldaracena Aguirre Curado(r) Aguirre Curado(r)(in spanish, “curado” means curated as well as cured, and likewise “curador” means either curator or healer.) Concept Aguirre’s entry for ”Whispering important things” is a text realized through a procedure that might be called, paraphrasing the famous method created by Dalí, schizophrenic – critical method (SCM). This method allows the collective writing of a text using multiple voices, where the authors characterize concepts instead of people. They are interpreted as if they were characters, with their features, conflicts and motivations, each one presenting itself and interacting with other concepts. The combination of schizophrenic and critical - rational processes allows the embodiment of these characters arisen from the abstract world of concepts. Their appearance through sound in the room of Annexe Hospitalis follows the pattern of the most common symptom of the schizophrenic: the auditory hallucinations. Simultaneously, held within the character’s logic contained in the affiliation of words that names it, every author develops his rational thread of thoughts and a communication as coherent as possible with his pairs. The construction of the concepts is realized by means of a random system guided by consensus, consisting in three parts: • subconscious chance: a brain-storming of words generates the initial list. • affective connections: every author builds 4 pairs of words associating them at his will. • e-voting: a crowded chat meeting defines in several voting rounds which are the concepts that will be turned into characters. The words chosen to build up the concepts can be gathered in two areas: one that joins two things as dissimilar as the history accumulated in the building of Danvik and a typical feature of the cultural life of Buenos Aires: the interest in mental health (psychiatric in one, psychoanalytic in the other). The other area would be the urban, considered not as a technical discipline, but as the crossing of the modifications, tendencies and the state of things in urbanity, with the emergent or potential forms of occupation of the public space. In this area converge the interests of a certain contemporary theory and that of Aguirre and his members. Goups and Concepts 1. gabriela-mauricio: adiction><social 2. martín-pío: panick attack><ornament 3. paola-marina: theatre><catastrophe 4. ariel-daniel: casino><neurosis Protocol • The listing of the groups defines the sequence in which every group will say his statement. (first the 1, later 2, 3 and 4 ...) a sort of guided dialogue being established that way. • A minimum of two rounds a will be realized. In the first round, every group does a presentation of his character. In the second, every character poses a question to the following one introducing in his interaction the concept of exclusion, which is used by the other curators too. • Each group interprets his concept as a character. Their statements and opinions will be unveiling theri features, affinities and desires. • Each group will have his nternal communication chat to enrich with real-time contributions the interpretation of the concept. Daniel Goldaracena Aguirre is a group of architects and artists, and simultaneously a strategic alliance between the organisations that these integrate. Socialisation and recycling of resources, configuration of temporary structures of association, investigation through games of processes of consensus are some of the actions carried out by Aguirre. Initially gathered by the space opened at 560 Aguirre street, used as channel of visibility towards the public space, at present his symbolic representation is mutating towards a new figure, still in process of formation.
