Esther Mañas (ES) och Arash Mooris (GB) senaste arbeten handlar om det tillfälliga, föränderliga stadsrummet och dess beskaffenhet som ett landskap präglat av sitt samhälles skiftande ideal. Parallellt med detta undersöker de i sitt samarbete dialogen mellan deras individuella konstnärskap och skapar en varierad helhet av ideer genom olika mimetiska arbetsprocesser mellan medier.

Mañas arbete utforskar urbana arkitektoniska platsers symbolspråk genom att på olika sätt arbeta med utvidgat måleri och installation. Mooris arbete, inspirerat av olika populära kultfenomen, leker med icke sammanfallande släktskap mellan ljud och bild och deras möjligheter att förändra publikens perception.

Resultaten av deras tvärdisciplinära strävan är skulpturala audiovisuella installationer som utforskar saker genom att sätta ihop vardagsföremål. Omsorgsfullt letar och utvinner Mañas och Moori en rad olika upphittade material; från kasserad ljudutrustning till åldrande musikinstrument. De bjuder in betraktaren att interagera inom ett synestetiskt skrotlandskap format av storstadskulturens utrangerade slamprodukter.

Båda konstnärerna verkar för närvarande i Madrid.

Esther Mañas (ES) and Arash Moori’s (GB) recent work is concerned with the temporal, ever-changing site of the urban and its nature as a landscape imbued with the undulating ideals of its society. Parallel to this, their collaborative work examines a dialogue between each others individual artistic practice creating a varied synthesis of ideas through various mimetic working processes between media.
 
Manas’s body of work explores the symbolism of architectural sites within the urban landscape through various expanded techniques of painting and installation. Moori’s work, inspired by various popular cult phenomenon, plays with incongruent relationships of sound and image and their effect on altering an audiences perception.

The results of their cross disciplinary endeavors are sculptural audio-visual installations which explore concerns through a reassemblage of everyday objects. Mañas and Moori carefully scavenge and source a diverse range of found materials from abandoned audio equipment to ageing musical instruments. They invite the viewer to interact within a synesthetic landscape of bricolage fashioned from the obsolete detritus of urban culture.
 
Both artist are currently based in Madrid.
